I realize I’ve neglected the blog recently, but there’s nothing like an amazing trip to inspire me to want to write on here again <3

I just wrapped up with vacationing in La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur. To be honest, I’d never heard of La Paz and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find an adorable little town full of fresh seafood, fun water activities, and some of the friendliest and warmest people I’ve ever met.

Drift San José: Cabo's Minimalist Haven

My Mexico travel diary is forthcoming, but first I wanted to rave about my accommodations in San José del Cabo.

I chanced upon Drift San José on Airbnb.com (though you can also book directly via Drift's website). The Baja ranch-inspired boutique hotel sprang up in defiance of the all-inclusive resorts overtaking Cabo and the rest of Mexico. Located smack dab in the heart of San José del Cabo’s historic downtown arts district, Drift seeks to immerse its guests in the local community and culture, rather than isolate them from it.

Cancun Photo Diary

I know what you're thinking. Cancun?! Cancun goes hand-in-hand with beer, frat boys and spring break. And yeah, I probably would've preferred Tulum. But my older sister was flying down from Canada with a baby in tow (while she is the cutest, most photogenic niece in the world, she is not always the best-behaved on the plane), so Cancun made for a decent compromise.
