Living Room Tour

This is a paid advertorial with Corian® Design.  Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own.

Since moving into my new house, fashion has actually taken a backseat to my newfound love: interior décor. It’s been hard to pin down my exact home aesthetic – I find myself partial to Swedish minimalism one day, then torn between midcentury modern and boho-chic the next. I’m constantly trying to achieve a balance between all these styles that feels uniquely my own.

Enter Corian® Design. I’m sure most of you know them for their expansive selection of beautiful solid surfaces and quartz countertop materials, but they’ve also recently introduced the Moodboard Maker, a new tool for creating inspiration boards from over 100 different textures, colors and patterns. In the past, I’ve jotted down ideas onto my notepad in my iPhone, but this is a far more efficient (and fun!) way to visualize a space.

First, you select a style. I ended up going with “Bohemian” just because it gave me a more interesting palette to work with. (Other options include “Organic,” “Minimal,” “Refined,” “Relaxed,” “Modern,” and “Edgy.”)

Second, you pick a Corian® solid surface or Quartz design swatch, and then upload your own pictures or add images from their library. I opted mainly for the latter, just so I could add specific textures I had in mind with furniture I already own, to keep my design consistent throughout my home.

And then you’re done! You can save your finished moodboard to your camera roll or order a framed print for your home via Peecho, so you can hang it in your finished home.

Above is the moodboard I created inspired by my living room.

The verdict? I absolutely love it. I still have a lot of finishing touches to work on in my home, and have yet to finish decorating our home office. Any time I’m feeling lost (or just in need of honing my vision), the Corian® Design’s Moodboard Maker is sure to come in handy! xx
